The 60 year-old third grade teacher, Susan Mamary, was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma Police said. This was after her car was hit at 51st Street and Hudson Place.

The school teacher had been driving a silver sedan eastbound but when she went to turn north onto Hudson Place around 4p.m., a brown Honda that was driving westbound struck her car as she was turning.

The brown Honda was driven by Marquitta Littlebear. Tulsa Police officer Leland Ashley reported that the 29 year-old feld on foot but was found fairly soon after. Tulsa Police had found beer bottles in Littlebear’s vehicle.

Marquitta was taken to the hospital after the accident but had not been arrested yet because investigators are awaiting toxicology results to determine if she had been drinking at the same of the incident or not.

Susan Mamary was a graduate of Wichita State University and had taught at the Catholic School for 17 years.
